RESULTS : Power Trip Wrestling – Sat 7th August 2010 – ‘On The Frontline’ – Help For Heroes Fundraiser – Houghton Regis

First of all, we’re going to link you to online footage on You Tube, from the show itself, because PTW are ‘The Promotion The Competition Doesn’t Want You To See’; and we take great pleasure in proving it.

Here is the results and round up from the show.

* The start of the show saw Kidd Pride come to the ring, and speak about his desire to wrestle PTW World Champion Snare. This provoked a rather dapper looking Petey Player (in a suit, and pink shirt), alongside Snare, PTW World Tag Team Champions Tommy & Danny Stevens, and Jay Mustang; to come to the ring to the sounds of Tinie Tempah on the PA system – and a lengthy argument ensued, including Petey’s referring to an interview with himself as being in a main Luton based newspaper this week (Luton’s Herald & Post weekly paper), his also making a reference that he’d “knock Pride out cold for fun just like he does Watford fans”, and that he’d “slap him as hard as he does rival promoters who turn up to PTW shows and try to cause trouble”; and more. After Petey and Kidd Pride had clashed quite seriously on this vocal level, the challenge was accepted; but not until Petey had reminded Pride that he had ‘allowed him to walk away unhurt from the ring…..for now’.

* ‘The Moral Messiah’ Stockwell defeated Karl Atlas, in a superb battle of two heavy hitters.

* In a ’3 minute challenge’, in which if TDH won, he would become a full time member of the PTW roster; TDH did in fact beat Petey Player. Controversy surrounded this match, as Sean Dymond had appointed himself special referee; which everyone assumed was in retaliation to recent rumours about the pair not getting along. Dymond in fact superkicked Petey out cold, and threw TDH on top of Petey so that he won the match and also a PTW contract….and then BANG – the superkick that shocked everyone in the crowd, and backstage, as he also kicked TDH out cold too. When Petey came around, it was clearly all part of a cunning and devious plan; and Petey was laughing on the microphone, saying that they ‘wanted’ TDH to join PTW, so that they could make his life miserable; and teach the rookie some respect.

* TITLE CHANGE : In a PTW British Title match, Dragonian w/Olivier Davenport The Third defeated Sean Midnight w/Tracey Kilby to become the new PTW British Champion.

* In a ‘PTW: Opportunity Knocks’ match, Irish wrestling star Hardshaw defeated Teddy Roberts.

* PTW World Tag Team Title Match : Marcus Phayer & ‘Big’ Tom Baines defeated Tommy & Danny Stevens (c) via Disqualification, therefore winning the match, but not the PTW Tag Team titles themselves.

* In a qualifying match to decide who would face PTW 5 Star Champion Anton Green w/Gabriel Myers straight after, Steve Love defeated ‘Beautiful’ Ollie Burns to get the title shot; but was ultimately defeated by the sneaky ‘Mr Clean’ Anton Green who had told Myers to hit Steve Love with what was simply a HUGE spinebuster the moment the qualifying match was over.

* In the main event, for the PTW World Title, Kidd Pride defeated PTW World Champion Snare, by Disqualification….Petey Player was meant to be at ringside, but at the start of the match, pulled himself out of the equation claiming a potentially broken arm from his match earlier on in the evening. Snare then got deliberately disqualified, much to the anger of Kidd Pride, which brought Petey back out to ringside to simply laugh at Pride. Kidd Pride is clearly a smart one, as after provoking Petey Player’s infamous hotheaded temper and nature, challenged Petey to a match – which Petey refused – and then challenged Snare and Petey to a 2 vs 1 handicap match on a future PTW show. Pride then questioned if Petey had the courage to accept, and Petey snapped and accepted the challenge….Petey Player was clearly rattled, but tried to put a brave face on his way backstage, with the still PTW World Champion Snare.
