CMLL held a press conference Thursday where they announced that Atlantis, Mascara Dorada, & Valiente will be representing them at the Tokyo Dome for New Japan on 1/4 and that Dorada would be joined on the Fantastikmania shows later in the month by Diamante/Maximo/Rush/La Sombra/Mephisto/Misterioso II/Shigeo Okumura/Volador Jr.
In other news out of the presser, Blue Panther challenged Negro Casas to a hair match but Felino jumped in the way of his brother and demanded to have the match with BP who was willing to make this a 3 way but Negro said that Felino should just have it on his own.
Atlantis, Delta, & Guerrero Maya Jr. have now changed their name to Los Titanes de la Atlantida and as they were talking about the change they were interrupted by Shocker who once again stated his anger at Delta & GM for leaving him for Atlantis during Forjando un Idolo a few months ago so he finally introduced the mystery figures who the promotion has been hyping up for weeks as Titan & Triton with Metro joining them as a trio. Atlantis was upset with someone being named Titan so he said that he must now get a new name for his trio. Supposedly Titan & Triton are Metal Blanco & Palacio Negro from Guadalajara.
The Triton in IWRG is upset with CMLL for using his name which he said is trademarked in Mexico City so we will see if that’s true or not.
Bobby Lee Sr. and the entire Box y Lucha Libre Commission of Leon resigned from their posts earlier this week after being upset that people were being allowed to run shows in the state without their permission by goverment officials who are denying them the power to stop them. It’s interesting to note here that Bobby Lee is the promoter for most of the shows in the area so conflict of interest maybe.
Like father like son Fuerza Guerrera stated on Hijo del Santo’s interview show on TVC Deportes this week that he would be starting his own promotion called Lucha Tradicion Real that would be featuring the best of lucha libre and no sillyness or clowning around like the major promotions do these days. Fuerza went over the talent list for his promotion and it features Fuerza, Juventud Guerrera, Emilio Charles Jr., Durango Kid, Histeria, & Mosco de la Merced II and joining them are of course Los Payasos Tricolor (Coco Amarillo/Coco Azul/Coco Rojo) and Super Muneco & Super Raton who are all of course clowns.
