El Supremo
El Supremo aka Salvador Cuevas Ramirez who was a star in Mexico in the 70’s & 80’s died of cardiac arrest yesterday in Tijuana at the age of 59. Supremo trained under the legendary Diablo Velasco and started out as Magnifico on 7/8/76 but soon changed his name to Supremo before finding success as a tag partner of Espectro Jr. until he made his big mark defeating Kato Kung Lee for the NWA Welterweight Title on 5/4/80 but he would only hold the title for a month before losing it to the legendary Lizmark on 6/6/80. Supremo kept plugging along and would defeat current CMLL Director Franco Columbo for the Mexican National Welterweight Title on 2/1/81 and held the title for 422 days before losing the title to Talisman on 3/30/82. Supremo continued being a top guy and was scheduled to have a big mask match against El Dorado on CMLL’s 52nd Anniversary Show on 9/20/85 but a big earthquake hit Mexico City the day before the show and the show was cancelled with Dorado later losing his mask to El Fantasma. Supremo would eventually have a tag partner in the early 90’s in Supremo II so Supremo could work a lighter schedule due to his age and some injuries before he would have a mask match on 12/8/92 at Arena Mexico against Pierroth who came out on top and Supremo had to reveal his identity. Supremo kept wrestling until 1995 where he would retire and moved back to Tijuana where he spent the rest of his days.

3. El Gallo/Metal Blanco/Palacio Negro beat Exterminador/Malefico/Mr. Trueno
4. La Mascara defeated Averno and challenged him for a shot at his World Middleweight Title (NWA) which Averno accepted.
5. Brazo de Plata/Maximo/Toscano beat Asesino Negro/Damian el Terrible/Hijo del Texano with Asesino & Porky finally agreeing to a hair match.
Independent 5/4 – Arena Aficion de Pachuca

2. Azazel beat Anubis
3. Arenita/Guerrero Maya Jr./Maldito Jr. defeated Brazo Metalico/Cerebro Negro/The Killer Jr.
4. Delta & Diamante beat Kid Tiger & Puma King
