Groon XXX suffered a serious knee injury on Sunday’s Perros del Mal PPV taping in Mexico City and according to Luchas 2000, there is talk that he may retire.

Hiroshi Tanahashi stated yesterday that he has returned to Mexico after a long absence and he is ready to show the fans how much he has improved since then and why he was voted the Wrestler of the Year last year in Japan. Tanahashi said that the Japanese wrestlers love coming to Mexico because of the great culture and especially the food which he says doesn’t hurt his stomach like it does some other Japanese guys. Tanahashi also talked about how hot the Mexican women are and that he knows they are ready to see him because he is so handsome. Tanahashi said that he wants to learn as much lucha libre possible to improve his repertoire as when he returns to Japan he wants to reclaim the IWGP Heavyweight Title now held by Togi Makabe.

Mascara Ano Dos Mil Jr. stated today that his feud with Silver King is nothing new as they have had bad blood since 2007 where they had a real bloody battle at Arena Lopez Mateos. MA2K Jr. said that there are two options to this feud with one being that SK wants his IWRG Intercontinental Heavyweight Title and the other one being that he doesn’t want SK’s mask since it’s been taken or his hair which was taken by God but he wants him to retire. MA2K Jr. said that his reputation would skyrocket if he made Silver King retire which should happen soon because he is getting too old to wrestle. MA2K Jr. said that he never imagined that AAA wrestlers would invade IWRG especially after his father had talks to return to EMLL in their invasion angle but the Dinamitas are willing to face any challenge and they would wave the independent flag high because being independent is the best there is.

1. Leono & Sensei beat Apocalipsis & Durango Kid by DQ when Durango ripped off Sensei’s mask.
2. Pegasso/Rey Cometa/Rush defeated Escandalo/Loco Max/Nitro
3. Lightning Match: Arkangel de la Muerte beat Angel Azteca Jr.
4. Brazo de Plata/Maximo/Toscano defeated Damian el Terrible/Ephesto/Hijo del Texano by DQ when Texano fouled Porky.
5. Delta/La Sombra/Volador Jr. beat Averno/Mephisto/Polvora
6. CMLL Trios Titles: Taichi Ishikari/Shigeo Okumura/Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Hector Garza/Hijo del Fantasma/La Mascara to win the titles. Garza actually got the pin on Tanahashi to take the 2nd fall but Tanahashi would use the High Fly Flow to win the titles.

IWRG 5/6 – Arena Naucalpan
1. Dark Devil beat Alan Extreme
2. Daga & Dinamic Black defeated Comando Negro & Eterno
3. Los Cerebros Terribles (Black Terry/Cerebro Negro/Dr. Cerebro) beat Los Gringos VIP (Avisman/Gringo Loco/Hijo del Diablo) in a bloody match and the Cerebros challenged the Gringos to a shot at the Mexico State Trios Titles that they never lost in the ring.
4. Los Oficiales (AK-47/Fierro/911) defeated Cuervo/Escoria/Ozz by DQ when 911 was fouled.
5. Electroshock/Silver King/Ultimo Gladiador beat La Familia Dinamita (Mascara Ano Dos Mil/Hijo del Mascara Ano Dos Mil/Mascara Ano Dos Mil Jr.) when SK ripped off MA2K Jr’s mask and pinned him. This match was overrun by rudo tactics since both teams were rudos and we had foules, martinetes, among others. The AAA guys said that Hijo del MA2K was unprofessional for not catching Gladiador on a dive where he almost injured himself and the Dinamitas countered by saying that SK was unprofessional for wearing his mask when he rightfully shouldn’t. SK then challenged MA2K Jr. to a shot at his IWRG Intercontinental Heavyweight Title afterwards.

Perros del Mal 5/5 – Palenque de la Feria de Celaya (poor attendance)
1. ?
2. El Toro battled Ursus to a double KO as both couldn’t answer the count of ten in the ring.
3. Medusa & Mini Mr. Aguila beat Leo (subbing for Estrellita) & Celestial
4. Charly Manson defeated X-Fly in their usual bloody match.
5. Hijo del L.A. Par-K (subbing for Groon XXX) & Hijo del Lizmark beat Mexico’s Most Wanted (Damian 666 & Halloween)
- This match was called basically lifeless with the guys just going through the motions.
