NEWS

Bestia 666 spoke of his WWE tryout a couple of weeks ago yesterday and said that he thought he did a really good job especially considering he was surrounded by other great talent. Bestia said that he got good feedback from the scouts and although he is under contract with Perros del Mal, he wouldn’t think twice about leaving for WWE and they know that as well because of how big that offer would be for his career. Bestia said that offers like that are unique and turning it down would be a big mistake because you may never get one like that again and he has the support of his father Damian 666 and his boss Perro Aguayo Jr. because they want him to be a big success. Bestia said that he is going to stay in contact with his godfather Rey Misterio Jr. who got him the tryout for any news regarding a future contract but he doesn’t expect to hear anything soon because they have a lot on their table but he has a lot to offer them as he is still young plus he can speak English which is very important to them and he isn’t set in his ways so he can learn their style better than others. Until then though, Bestia said that his focus is on Perros del Mal and representing them all over the country while sharpening his skills even more.

Virgilio Aristeo Amezcua Sánchez aka Vick Amezcua or better known as Septiembre Negro died yesterday at the age of 73 with the cause of death being undisclosed. Vick was still serving on the Box y Lucha Commission in Guadalajara up until his death and was seen at all of the local shows. Vick was an established worker on his own before taking the Septiembre Negro gimmick in the mid 70′s which was based off the the Black September terrorist group that kidnapped and killed Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics and it was with that gimmick where he became a big star in Mexico especially in Guadalajara plus he was highly successful in Panama and other Central American countries. Vick formed a tag team with Dr. Wagner Sr. and they had success before they had to face off with each other on 8/19/82 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City in the finals of a Ruleta de la Muerte where Doc took his mask. Vick continued to wrestle and passed the gimmick on to his nephew. Among his other family members are the Dantes family with Alfonso being his brother and Cesar & Apolo being his nephews, his brother-in-law Alberto Munoz who was a big star in the 70′s and his son Blade who was a Guadalajara undercard mainstay in the middle 2000′s.
