Jushin Thunder Liger

Jushin Thunder Liger became the CMLL Middleweight champion today as he defeated Negro Casas at the New Japan PPV in Fukuoka.

AAA announced yesterday that Abyss would be making his return to the promotion at Triplemania in Mexico City on 6/6.

1. Nocturno beat Metalik
2. Thunder Boy & Virgo defeated Acertijo & Nube Roja
2. Occidental Lt. Heavyweight Title Tournament – Round 1: Malefico beat Infierno
3. Occidental Lt. Heavyweight Title Tournament – Round 1: Drago defeated Neutron
4. El Gallo & Samurai beat Rafaga & Mr. Trueno
5. Averno/Damian el Terrible/Hijo del Texano defeated Hector Garza/Hijo del Fantasma/La Mascara when Garza refused to help his partners.
6. CMLL Super Lightweight Title: Mascara Dorada beat Dragon Rojo to retain his title.

CMLL 5/2 – Arena Mexico
1. Bengala/Metalico/Trueno beat Camorra/Cholo/Zayco by DQ and Trueno had to be stretchered out.
2. Dr. X/Kid Tiger/Puma King defeated Angel Azteca Jr./Diamante/Fabian el Gitano by DQ when Fabian ripped off Doc’s mask. Fabian & Doc then agreed to have a mask match. The other four men then said they wanted in on this as well.
3. Blue Panther/Metro/Sagrado beat Euforia/Vangelis/Virus
4. Brazo de Plata/La Sombra/Toscano defeated Alebrije/Histeria/Psicosis by DQ when Mascara Ano Dos Mil & Universo Dos Mil ran out and attacked the tecnicos with the fans pelting the ring with garbage before the invaders ran out of the building. This was described as a very hot angle with the fans going nuts chanting “CONSEJO”
5. Mexican Lt. Heavyweight Title: Volador Jr. beat Mistico when he ripped off his mask and pinned him to retain his title. Mistico was total rudo here throwing beer in Volador’s face and these two had a good match but the fans weren’t into this as much because of the angle from the previous match. Mistico & Volador then agreed to a mask match afterwards.

Independent 5/1 – Arena Neza (Dia del Nino)
1. Mixteco Jr. beat Challenger
2. Alan Extreme/Hermano Muerte/Keshin Black defeated Angel de la Noche/Dinamic Black/Vuelo Espacial
3. Cocolores/Cosmico/Diamante Azul/Super Electra beat Comando Negro/Crazy Boriqua/Dark Zombie/Redentor
4. Solar I & Ultraman defeated Black Terry & Negro Navarro with fans throwing money in the ring after the match.
5. Canek/Mascara Ano Dos Mil/Universo Dos Mil beat Fantasma/Ultimo Guerrero (subbing for Dos Caras)/Villano III when Canek fouled Fantasma behind the ref’s back and Canek/UG threw out mask challenges afterwards.
6. Steel Cage Match where the loser must be shaved or unmasked (El Signo Retirement Match): Hijo del Signo defeated Halcon Dorado Jr. and he was shaved. Other Participants: Villano IV/Ultraman Jr./Rambo/Tauro de Creta/Hijo del Fishman/Hijo del Solar/Hijo del Canek/El Signo

Independent 5/1 – Plaza de Toros el Relicario de Puebla (Dia del Nino)
1. May Flowers & Polvo de Estrellas beat Rio Bravo & Tito Santana
2. Celeste Boy/Charly Boy/Master Boy defeated Guerrero de Plata/El Perverso/Rey Infierno when Factor X (who was almost paralyzed last year by Rey Infierno) attacked Infierno.
3. 3 Way Steel Cage Match Por la Copa Gladiador: Extreme Tiger beat Joe Lider to win. Atomic Boy was the other man involved.
4. Cuervo/Escoria/Ozz defeated The Psycho Circus (Monster Clown/Murder Clown/Psycho Clown)
5. Dr. Wagner Jr. & Ultimo Gladiador beat Alan Stone & Rocky Romero (subbing for El Mesias who was there and apologized for not wrestling due to his shoulder surgery) when Doc fouled Stone behind the ref’s back.

Perros del Mal 5/2 – Sala del Armas Magdalena Mixhuca del Distrito Federal (PPV)
1. NWA Lightweight Title: Turbo beat Black Thunder to retain his title.
2. El Angel/Leo/Diva Salvaje defeated Pesadilla/Ragde/Medusa
3. Mr. Aguila beat TJP
4. Groon XXX & Hijo del Rey Misterio defeated Oriental & Super Nova – Perro Aguayo Jr. came out after the match and challenged Hijo del Rey Misterio to a fight which ended up being a beatdown by Los Perros who left him beaten and injured in the ring.
5. Super Libre Survivor Xtreme Match: Damian 666 beat Supreme with help from Perrito in a match that had a ton of weapons used including a casket that got destroyed. Other participants: Charly Manson, Halloween, & X-Fly.
6. Hijo del Santo/Latin Lover/Marco Corleone defeated Perro Aguayo Jr./Blue Demon Jr./Hijo del Lizmark when Santo turned the tide on Perrito after he ripped his mask and tried to pin him. Los Perros then came out and gave Latin 10 seconds to decide on whether he was joining the group which ended up in a brawl with Perrito being bloodied.

4. Caballera contra Caballera: Charly Manson beat X-Fly in their regular match of late featuring all the weapons. Halloween tried to help out X-Fly but he refused his help and Manson took advantage of this to get the win.
5. Perro Aguayo Jr. & Blue Demon Jr. defeated Hijo del Santo & L.A. Par-K when Perrito used the Perro Driver on Santo after a foule to win. Santo was said to have not looked good here and had a shoulder injury.
6. Tables/Boards/Chairs Steel Cage Match where the loser gets shaved or unmasked: Super Nova beat Halloween with help from X-Fly who knocked Halloween off the cage through a table as he tried to leave. Order of Eliminiation: Oriental/Groon XXX/Hijo del L.A. Par-K/Hijo del Lizmark/Damian 666/Mr. Aguila/Super Nova
