NEWSAAA announced yesterday that they have moved the date of the Rey de Reyes show up a day to March 18th instead of March 19th. Dorian Roldan mentioned on his Twitter page this week that this would be on PPV in Mexico but there is no other confirmation yet.
Mascara Ano Dos Mil Jr. was told 3 weeks ago that he has a serious back injury that needs surgery and would put him out of action for a year but he is going against doctor’s orders and is still working. MA2K worked the UWE show last Wednesday and didn’t show that he was in much pain although he was and he said that he will have the surgery soon but he is already doing rehab by doing lots of swimming.
Today is a very important day in Mexico as it is the 27th Anniversary of the death of the most famous luchador of all-time in El Santo. There are tributes being held around the country as usual on this day every year.
RESULTSAAA 2/4 – Arena Naucalpan drawing 2,800 fans (TV taping)1. Cerebro Negro/Dr. Cerebro/Eterno beat Argenis/Atomic Boy/El Gato (he lost the Eveready sponsorship) and after the match various IWRG guys attacked the AAA guys.
Heavy Metal came out after the match to tell the fans that he is back and better than ever before introducing his entourage of Lokillo & Nanyzh Rock who is a mini and female respectively. Metal then demanded that Electroshock face him in a 3 out of 5 series where the loser must shave his head before Electroshock came out and accepted his challenge.
2. Ronin & Sexy Star defeated Takuya Sugi & Fabi Apache with help from Hijo del Tirantes who broke up a Fabi pin on Sexy Star then reversed it. Gran Apache ran him off after the match.
3. Rey de Reyes – Semifinals: Extreme Tiger beat Chessman/Cuervo/Joe Lider when after Chessman took care of Cuervo & Lider, Tiger pinned him.

Best of 5 Series – Match 1: Electroshock defeated Heavy Metal after using a guitar over his head to go up 1-0.
5. Espiritu/El Mesias/Ozz beat Decnis/L.A. Par-K/Zorro and after the match La Sociedad attacked Mesias but Cuervo joined Espiritu & Ozz to save Mesias and it looks like La Secta may be reforming.
6. Los Bizarros (Charly Manson/Cibernetico/Escoria) defeated Jack Evans/Nicho el Millionario/La Parka Jr. when Zorro came out and whacked Manson in the head with the kendo stick as Manson had the Pozo on Parka. Parka then pinned Manson.

2. Pequeno Olimpico/Pequeno Warrior/Pierrothito defeated Maximito/Shockercito/Ultimo Dragoncito
3. Los Angeles Celestiales (Angel Azteca Jr./Angel de Oro/Angel de Plata) beat Los Cancerberos del Infierno (Cancerbero/Raziel/Virus)

Lightning Match: Olimpico defeated Hijo del Fantasma (way to build up Fantasma)
5. La Mascara/Maximo/Sangre Azteca beat Dragon Rojo/Hijo del Texano/Misterioso II by DQ when Misterioso ripped off Azteca’s mask. The rudos kept the attack going after the match until Super Porky made the save.
6. Los Sicarios del Infierno (Averno y Mephisto)/Ultimo Guerrero defeated Brazo de Plata/Mascara Dorada/La Sombra by DQ when Averno threw his mask at Dorada who was caught with it.
