NEWSAAA Executive Vice President Dorian Roldan went on Twitter today to congratulate Sin Cara on signing with the WWE and basically said that he’s glad he went anywhere besides CMLL. Dorian said that no one could compete with the WWE’s money and he threw down the gauntlet to CMLL to set aside their differences and work together to fight their common enemy which is the WWE. Dorian said that if the two major promotions checked their egos at the door and joined forces they could rescue Lucha Libre from WWE’s influences and he said that the ball is now in their court to respond to his offer as he is genuine with the offering. Call me a cynic but this seems like total grandstanding to me reminiscent of how Eric Bischoff would challenge Vince McMahon to a fight at Uncensored 98 knowing that Vince wouldn’t answer the challenge just like Paco Alonso won’t acknowledge this as well. Let’s also not forget what happened the last time they worked together for the big Padrisimo show in 2000 at the Plaza de Toros Monumental in Mexico City where after some molten hot angles taped with AAA guys invading Arena Mexico, the show had lots of issues with finishes and the like.
