CMLL announced today that the highly anticipated Demus 3:16/Virus hair match where the loser becomes a mini again will take place on 3/11 at Arena Mexico. This is going to be awesome.

Felipe Ham Lee who was the head of the Distrito Federal Box y Lucha Commission for years and who was a legendary wrestler himself died today at 80-years-old of reportedly natural causes. Felipe was involved in the business for at least 60 years as either a wrestler, trainer, promoter, or commissioner and was around every legend that came down the pike in that time frame teaming and going against them for at least 25 of those years while helping train some of the greats as well with his star pupils being Canek, Los Brazos, & Villano III. Felipe was a world traveler as he worked across the world finding his best success outside of Mexico in Hawaii & Japan. Felipe took the hair of legends El Gladiador & Karloff Lagarde in the 60′s along with losing his own scalp in a big match with Rene Guajardo on 9/9/66. Felipe’s most infamous moment occured when he actually worked as El Santo on a Japanese tour. In the 80′s he helped form the Super Libres group with Cesar Valentino and promoter Moises Zarate which didn’t last very long and it was after that that he became a commissioner. Descanse en Paz el Don Felipe.
