Averno is doing a press tour around Mexico City trying to assure everyone that he isn’t leaving for WWE and that he would take La Mascara’s mask next Friday night at Arena Mexico and has even had his father Rodolfo Ruiz backtrack on his previous statements saying that his son was leaving as well. No one is believing this of course.

CMLL referee Rafa el Maya is still in the hospital following his heart surgery on Monday but he is getting better and is in good spirits saying that he may have to have another surgery but he is going to pull through. The popular belief right now though is that he will have to retire from refereeing though due to his condition.

El Mesias said yesterday that his match with L.A. Par-K at Triplemania XIX next Saturday will be the match of their lives and that this match will be remembered as the greatest match in the history of Triplemania. Mesias promised to the fans that he would come out on top because if he didn’t he would have to have died in the ring because it’s going to take that for him to lose.

L.A. Par-K fired back saying that he thinks it’s ridiculous that the fans cheer Mesias since he is a dirty Puerto Rican and that real Mexicans hate them. Par-K went on to say that he is the best luchador in Mexico without a doubt and everyone knows that so him shaving Mesias’ head is simply a formality. Par-K said that the picture of the bald Mesias will be on the front of every newspaper in the country and that he would rightfully take his place as the idol of the people.

Rush said this week that his upcoming match against Ultimo Guerrero for the CMLL Heavyweight Title this Sunday at Arena Mexico is the biggest match of his career and he is going into the match with supreme confidence and no fear. Rush said that UG has more experience, more strengh, & more technique but he is going into the match with nothing to lose and that is the most dangerous type of opponent anyone could have. Rush said that he is going to leave all he has in the ring and wants to prove to the fans that he is more than just a pretty face and he can beat anyone in the promotion. Rush said that he isn’t intimated by UG’s history in the promotion and that he doesn’t believe in a hierarchy as anyone can be beaten plus he has his own pedigree as he has already won the CMLL Lt. Heavyweight Title and 1/3rd of the Mexican National Trios Titles so a win over UG would put him over the top and would make him a major player.
