Fusion Pro Wrestling 8/1/14 – Los Angeles, CA:1. Alas Negras beat Black Puma after Puma fouled him, but special referee Vandal Drummond caught it and DQ’ed him.
2. Asgard & Spartan beat Mariachi Rockero & Dark Lobo
3. Pequeno Shamu, Cyber Rams & Dark Mantis beat Classicus Shadow, Rey Volcan Jr. & La Golosa
4. Estrella Azul & Pantera Azteca (w/ Panterita Azteca) beat Super Boy Jr. & Indu Jr.
5. Capitan Oro, Principe Indu & Acero Dorado Jr. beat Piloto Suicida, Rayo de Plata & Rey Infernal in a Super Libre match were ref stayed outside the ring and was only there to count the pinfalls.
- Vandal Drummond was the emergency back-up ref as the other ref showed up late. Vandal clearly went to the Tigre Hispano school of refereeing…QUE BARBARO VANDAL!!!! Mariachi Rockero brought out a trumpet and played a bit of “El Mariacho Loco”. A few no-shows which changed the lineup as Profeta Jr., Antrax, Jaguar de Oro were not there. Best match of the night was the semi-main. The main was a wild brawl that had Acero Dorado throwing chairs at his opponents and then he grabbed a few Coke cans and smashed them over Piloto Suicida’s head near were I was sitting only I moved because the first can had very little soda, but the second can, was still full and sprayed this one dude nearby. After the match, Acero Dorado got a bottle of water and threw it at one of this opponents and got more people wet. Pretty great! Really impressed by how well Capitan Oro and Principe Indu still move in the ring. Rayo de Plata was pretty impressive to. He did the corner rana spot that Marcela did recently on a CMLL show that was pretty great.
During intermission, they gave away prizes and as custom at lucha libre shows, kids jumped into the ring. The highlight were these two kids who were doing a few spots. One kid would tell another to put his arm up and he climbed the rope and then grabbed his arm and ARMDRAGGED HIM TO THE MAT! Then he did a 619. To top it off, he told the other kid to stand in the ring and HE CLIMBED TO THE TOP ROPE AND HIT A PLANCHA!!!
Another fun evening at a lucha show.
