Comme chaque année, 8 lutteurs prometteurs vont s'affronter durant le Top Prospect Tournament pour remporter une chance au ROH World TV Championship.
C'est lors de Steel City Excellence le 11 février 2017 que se déroulera le premier tour de la compétition entièrement diffusée lors des shows TV.
