Rayo de Jalisco Jr. gave a great interview on Thursday where he mentioned that the reason why the CMLL shows in Guadalajara aren’t drawing that well is because CMLL Director Panico has blocked major events from happening on those shows (by major events he means himself.) Rayo kept going saying that the young guys who the promotion is pushing right now don’t have the charisma or working ability that guys of his generation had and that fans love the older wrestlers for that reason. Rayo also lobbied CMLL to create a Hall of Fame similar to WWE so they can properly honor legends like himself.

Voltaje Negro who has been a Monterrey undercard mainstay for years was part of a group who led an attack of Casino Royale in Monterrey on 8/21 using grenades which left 52 dead. This attack happened 5 days after he worked a show at Arena Solidaridad.

AAA 9/16 – Gimnasio Miguel Hidalgo de Puebla (TV taping = Dia del Independencia)
1. Elegido/Fabi Apache/Pimpinela Escarlata beat Alan Stone/Sexy Star/Pasion Kristal
2. Aero Star/Argos/Octagon defeated La Militia (Decnis/Super Fly/Tito Santana) but the big story here was that Konnan came out after the match and appointed Chessman to the general position of La Legion Extranjera previously held by Zorro and then decided to reward him with a new member of La Maniarquia in Decnis which angered Super Fly.
3. AAA Cruiserweight Title: Jack Evans beat Escoria to retain his title.
4. Los Perros del Mal (Perro Aguayo Jr./Damian 666/Halloween/Nicho el Millionario) defeated Dr. Wagner Jr./The Psycho Circus (Monster Clown/Murder Clown/Psycho Clown) – After the match Octagon came out and helped the tecnicos fight off the Perros. Psycho Clown demanded a hair/masks match for Heroes Inmortales afterwards which Damian accepted. Octagon then asked to be the second for the Clowns and Doc finalized it with a handshake.
5. Electroshock/Extreme Tiger/El Mesias beat Abyss/Brutus Magnus/Chessman followed up by a beatdown by La Sociedad until Doc and the Clowns showed up featuring a chokeslam by Monster Clown on Abyss.

CMLL 9/12 – Arena Puebla
1. Black Tiger & Milenium beat Akron & Siki Osama
2. Lestat/Metalico/Molotov defeated Espiritu Maligno/Los Rayos Tapatios I y II
3. Angel Azteca Jr./Pegasso/Rey Cometa beat Loco Max/Nitro/Nosferatu
4. Brazo de Plata/Maximo/Rush defeated La Fuerza TRT (Damian el Terrible/Rey Bucanero/Hijo del Texano) by DQ when Texano fouled Rush.
5. Negro Casas/Mr. Niebla/Hiroshi Tanahashi beat La Generacion Dorada (La Mascara/Mascara Dorada/La Sombra)

CMLL 9/16 – Arena Mexico (Dia del Independencia)
1. Apocalipsis & Hooligan beat Horus & Trueno who was stretchered out before the finish.
2. Delta/Metro/Stuka Jr. defeated Cancerbero/Misterioso II/Virus
3. Torneo Cibernetico: Negro Casas eliminated Rey Bucanero to win with help from Felino who was eliminated before and it ended up in a brawl with TRT and the Casas brothers along with their mascots. Order of Elimination: Hijo del Texano/Blue Panther/Damian el Terrible/Rush/Maximo/Felino/Rey Bucanero
4. Atlantis/Hector Garza/Jushin Thunder Liger beat Mr. Aguila/Ultimo Guerrero/Volador Jr. by DQ when UG fouled Atlantis. Before the match, Atlantis got his tribute with former rivals & friends Emilio Charles Jr./Mano Negra/Mascara Ano Dos Mil/Ringo Mendoza/Satanico along with his family to celebrate him.
5. Por el Universal Title 2011: La Sombra defeated Averno to win the title in what was called a really good match.
